A district manager of Family Dollar Store, 2501 Third St., Alexandria, is accusing a manager of not making three bank deposits totaling $8,345, according to police reports.
The district manager claims deposits of $2,279 were not made Nov. 22, $3,300.65 on Nov. 24, and $2,466.16 on Nov. 25.
According to the report, the district manager said he contacted the manager on Nov. 26 and asked the manager about the money. The manager allegedly replied, “I quit and I don’t have your money,” then threw the store’s keys on the table and walked out of the store.
The district manager said the manager refused to close out register and answer any questions regarding the money, the police report said. Also, the district manager said the bank informed him that no deposits were made on the dates in question.
