Alexandria man robbed in near Amphitheatre

An Alexandria man told police officers two men approached him from behind while he was walking around the downtown Amphitheatre about 12:46 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, according to police reports.

The victim  said the men allegedly pulled his shirt over his head and punched him in the stomach knocking him to the ground. They also allegedly kicked him once he hit the ground and took $900 in cash from his pants pocket. The victim, according to the report, said he didn’t see which direction the suspects went.

The victim didn’t want to file a report because he “wanted to speak with some friends about how to go about handling” the incident.
