Women alleges robbery on Beatrice Street

About 3:05 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a call in reference to an armed robbery at 1705 Beatrice St. Two women reported that they had been driving on Masonic Drive from Taco Bell to one of their mother’s house on Beatrice Street when they noticed a car turning behind their vehicle.

The complainant said she pulled up into the driveway while the other car passed slowly and pulled into the next driveway, according to the Alexandria Police Department. As the women got out of the car, a man allegedly jumped out of the other vehicle, pulled a gun on them and demanded money, the police report said.

The suspect allegedly took a wallet and purse, jumped back into a small, two-door white car and headed toward Lee Street. Officers searched the area but could not find a vehicle matching the description the women gave, the report said.

The suspect said he wanted his money also. The victim, according to the police report, repeated that he didn’t have any money in his pocket.

The suspect allegedly pointed a gun at the suspect and demanded money. The victim then handed the suspect the $400 from his SSI check.

The victim said the suspect had gold on his top and bottom teeth.
